| This man was a pewterer by trade. He was known as the Protestant tinker; was Chamberlain of Hull in the year 1669; and was buried in Holy Trinity Church. His tombstone is now underneath the organ, and the inscription reads: "Here lieth the body of Mr. John Baker, late of this town, pewterer, who departed this life 21st January, 1710, in his 78th year." |
