O  Bare head of Edward VII right, truncated below the neck. De S (G W De Saulles) below the truncation below and to the right of ED. Toothed border with a narrow, raised rim

R  Britannia, helmeted and wearing long robes, seated on a rock facing right. Her left hand is raised and grasps a plain trident just below the prongs. Her right hand rests on the upper left edge of a large oval shield bearing the crosses of St George and St Andrew (the Union Flag). On the right side, the horizon intersects Britannia exactly where her legs cross. Date in exergue. Toothed border with a narrow, raised rim
